Public artists Nicole Voevodin-Cash and Elizabeth Woods have transferred a mapped city experience into a semiabstract inflatable garden that springs to life in a space, literally “landscaping” it, as if it were a living, growing organic form taking over the cityscape.
Throughout 2009, LANDscapers will activate and animate significant public spaces across Brisbane, transforming each new site into a voluminous sculptural garden of floating, lucent vines. From July 18th to 21st, LANDscapers will spread its flowering tendrils through the stained glass window lit space of The Old Museum Building’s Studio 3 as part of the Creative Arts Spectacular. Come and be delighted, inspired, and intrigued by LANDscapers as it creeps through the studio and up its walls, inviting us to question the urban landscapes we inhabit and the natural world we’ve left outside.
