This is a very exciting year in Queensland as we are celebrating our states 150th birthday. With Q150 celebrations continuing throughout the state, we also celebrate the year of Creativity in Education.
Incorporating both of these events, Wooloowin State School is proud to present the First Annual Creative Arts Spectacular which will be held at The Old Museum, Gregory Terrace, on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2009. The Creative Arts Spectacular is a showcase for emerging artists of Queensland. We are delighted to invite you to submit the enclosed Artist reply form together with images of your work to be included in the exhibition.
The Art competition will be held in Studio one at The Old Museum. Our major sponsor for the Emerging Art Prize is one of Brisbanes finest Art Galleries,
Gallery 2120, supporting this event with $2000 prize money for first place.
Prizes are allocated for first, second and third in the Open 2 D art category and also a Peoples Choice award.
Entry fee is $25, with a maximum of 3 pieces. The entry fee is non-refundable.
The winning works will be selected by independent judges and announced at the Gala Opening evening on Saturday July 18th.All entries will be eligible for the peoples choice award of $250 plus a free Will and Power of Attorney sponsored by SBA Family Lawyers.
