Creative Arts Spectacular came about when Kylie Farrelly, curator of Energy Art visited the Old Museum Building in the hope of holding an exhibition. With the help of a group of Wooloowin State School parents with backgrounds in Marketing, Music & Entertainment, Wedding Planning and Event Management, it was decided that in the year of Qld's 150 birthday and Year of Creativity in Education, that a much grander project would evolve.
An Emerging Artists exhibition was decided on, with a spectacular opening night art show, and a FREE family day to follow.
In conjuction with the opening of the Creative Arts Spectacular, Artisan will install and open its Q150 travelling installation, "Landscapers" into the adjoining exhibition space of the Old Museum Building. Patrons will be able to enjoy this incredible work in a completely unique environment. "Landscapers" was recently seen in the Qld State Library at the Ideas Festival, and will be touring other unique sites of Queensland.
Opening night tickets are $35 for gourmet food, wine and amazing entertainment soon to be announced..keep your eyes out for some really great acts.
Family day will be filled with workshops, activities and entertainment, especially for children, but fantastic for the whole family. Entry will be free, some workshops have a small materials cost only.
We are excited to bring this to you, and can only make it possible with the support of so many wonderful Brisbane people and business, all of which we will advertise and promote on this site.
